Sad Pierrot

Pierrot, the classic character of Pantomime! This haunting soul is often portrayed as the scorned lover, reaching out to his/her object d’amour time and again and being denied. Who’s only friend is the impassive moon in the night sky. And just look at that eye-makeup and foundation, Pierrot is a total Goth.

We were inspired by this tragic lover and have named a piece in Gloomth’s Haunted Circus line after Pierrot! Our “Pierrot” blouse is for anyone who wears their heart on their sleeve (or shirt). To tragic and inspired lovers of all kinds!

Star Carousel Dress

Step right up! Welcome to Gloomth’s Haunted Circus. A line of designs inspired by a spooky nocturnal circus. Filled with ghosts, vampires, and magic! Come and explore our beautiful nightmare.

In all corners of the circus grounds one can faintly hear the eerie music of the carousel. It’s melody creeps around every corner, drawing the brave and curious towards it. The carousel is the heart of Gloomth’s Haunted Circus.

Below its flickering lights sway mounts of all forms, from lunging werewolves to skeletal horses and sparkling bats. Riders choose their beasts and climb aboard this peculiar antique amusement ride. It’s ceiling mimics the night sky, peppered with flickering stars in strange unknown constellations….

Our “Star Carousel” Dress is inspired by the magical carousel in Gloomth’s Haunted Circus!

It is also the first piece we are showcasing from the new range! Decadent and beautiful, it’s the perfect dress to make your grand entrance in. Will be available before June 1st in our catalogue!

We are thrilled to announce our next themed line! Consider this the summer project of the students of St.Gloomth Academy. These vintage-circus inspired designs are the perfect pieces for Summer 2012, and will soon be manifesting in our catalogue (in a cloud of glittering digital smoke)!

To celebrate the upcoming formal launch of this line (in about 1 week from today) we will be highlighting each piece with it’s inspiration and story one by one! The designs themselves will be available for purchase by the end of May.

 Violet looks like a perfect little doll in our “Sorrow” dress! We made it just for her in a dusty rose cotton. If you’d like one in this color please let me know, we have enough of the rose cotton left to make a couple of these rare beauties!

“Verdant” Dress in Red

Many of our designs can be custom made in a variety of colors! Recently I made a “Verdant” style dress in red fabric, I actually hand-stained/dyed the fabric myself with a mixture of pigments to achieve the lush vintage red hue I wanted (which isn’t very clear in these poor photos).

Pardon my terrible quick self-shot photos, I was running to errands/meetings all day. I will try and take proper photos of this ensemble sometime. This dress looks pretty amazing on just about every figure. With it’s 3 part construction it creates the illusion of a tinier waist-line and the A-line skirt helps balance the bust. Perfect!

I paired my “Verdant” dress with the top half of a vintage wedding dress I wear quite often. It’s one of those strange clothing items that suits just about everything I throw it on with.

Shipping Packaging

In case you are curious, each Gloomth order is hand wrapped in black tissue (accompanied by little goodies such as stickers and cards and pins) and then placed in a “Tyvek” mailer bag!

Not the most eye catching mailer bag but it does keep your clothing very protected!

The Tyvek bags are water resistant and extremely difficult to damage, making them nearly impervious to the abuse of various mail staff. That way your order arrives flawless and ready to wear!

From Pop to Vintage in One Dress!

Our popular “Shiro Lilly” dress is a very versatile simple dress. Made of soft cotton blend you can machine wash and dry this frock. We like white for summer as it keeps you a bit cooler than black. Also an all white ensemble can be just as elaborate and edgy as an all black one (but we do offer this dress in black, for the purists !)

Worn in this shoot with model Cheshire Cat in a more street-fashion inspired outfit. Paired with bright pink accessories and a flock of hair accessories it has a fun, pop feel to it! It’s an easy outfit to recreate.

When donned without a petticoat this dress has a lovely vintage feel to it. Shown here paired with simple black tights and a fancy feathered hat, wool scarf, and faux pearls. Decadent and divine!
